Ohio University Greek Life Receives National Attention
Over the last month, the Greek community at Ohio University has been actively standing up against sexual assault. Many chapters affiliated with the Interfraternity Council and Women's Panhellenic Association hung banners voicing their support for survivors. After these banners made their way to social media, the community was praised by many for their efforts.
The tweet reached nearly 6 million people, and word spread quickly about the impact the community was making. Rather than keeping it to chapters and banners, IFC, WPA, NPHC, and MGC then paired up to start a social media campaign. Through tabling in Baker, students were able to come write and display their messages about sexual assault.
USA Today and the Cincinnati Enquirer were next to report on the movement. You can check out their feature story on the link below!
