What Values do we Recruit on?
Here at Ohio University the Interfraternity Council recruits on four main principles:
During spring recruitment, we encourage you to attend every IFC Sponsored event to learn about the community. As for individual events, we encourage potential members to visit as many organizations as possible to find the right group of brothers that align with the same values.
Schedule and Description of Spring Recruitment
IFC Info Night
Tuesday January 22 at 5:00 PM in Baker 242
Have question about joining a fraternity? This will be an info session on the process of registration and give potential members the opportunity to learn about the Fraternal Community here on campus.
All Greek Expo
Wednesday January 23 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Baker Ballroom
Join us for an expo-style event for your opportunity to meet all of the social fraternities and sororities, including many of the member organizations who are a part of the Interfraternity Council and enjoy some free food.
Individual Organization Events
Monday January 28, 2019 - Friday February 1, 2019
(Events will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM each day)
Throughout the week each of the IFC Organizations will host their own recruitment events. Potential Members may attend as many of as few as they would like, and a central schedule of events will be shared with those who register for recruitment.
Values Presentation & Bid Distribution
Sunday February 3, 2019
Potential members who have received one or more invitations will be invited to a Sunday presentation. Following the presentation, potential members will receive their bid(s) and can decide the one organization they want to accept. Potential members may also take some time to consider their options, and confirm their acceptance the following day.
